Please be advised that the Government Energy Aggregation Agreement for electric service with Energy Harbor will expire on your May 2023 meter read date. 

The Township’s Governing Body elected not to pursue renewal of the agreement.  The Township’s energy consultant recommended to let the agreement expire because the energy market was not favorable to the price to compare for JCP&L.

All residents that have elected to sign up for the program should have received a Notice of Contract Expiration from Energy Harbor.  As referenced in the letter, you will not need to take any action to return to our local electric utility (JCP&L).  There are other options presented in the letter, but the Township is not providing any recommendation. 

A new Government Energy Aggregation program may be considered in the future if the energy markets present a favorable rate for the residents of Byram Township.
