Weather-Related Incidents and Services

Yesterday, the City of Fremont experienced unusually high winds, resulting in multiple downed trees, downed power lines, and other incidents. The Police Department received numerous calls for service, including 78 storm-related calls. The Community Services Department’s Park Maintenance team, which handles tree-related calls in public areas, received over 110 tree-related calls for service. Our Fire Department and Public Works crews actively assisted with clearing trees from roadways into the night.

We want to take this time to thank our officers, dispatchers, our Fire Department, and all first responders, including our streets and parks crews, and PG&E for their services during this critical time.  Calls are prioritized based on emergency service needs, and we thank the public for being patient as we attend to all calls for service. Clean-up work will continue for several days to address all issues, including lower-priority calls.

At this time, limited areas are experiencing power outages. To view and report power outages, please visit: https://pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/outagecenter/

As weather conditions continue to improve, we ask our community to use this time to clean up and prepare for the next possible storm. For City of Fremont storm-related updates, including tips on storm preparation and who to call for services, please visit: https://www.fremont.gov/storm

Thank you again for keeping our community safe.
