INCIDENT: False Imprisonment, Criminal Threats, Strong Arm Robbery
LOCATION: Subway, 15207 Hook Boulevard, Victorville
VICTIM: Adult Female Resident of Victorville
SUSPECT(S): 14-year-old Male Juvenile of Victorville, Unidentified Male Juvenile
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at approximately 9:16 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to a robbery at the Subway on Hook Boulevard in Victorville.
The female victim was working when the two suspects entered the business and demanded money. The victim attempted to flee but the suspects stopped her and threatened to kill her. The suspects took cash from the register and fled on foot.
California Highway Patrol’s helicopter assisted deputies with an area check to locate the suspects. Deputy DeDios located them near Hook Park and a foot pursuit ensued. DeDios apprehended the first suspect while the second jumped several fences in a nearby housing tract. After an extensive area check, deputies were unable to locate the second suspect.
The first suspect was arrested and booked into High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center on three felony charges: false imprisonment, criminal threats, strong arm robbery. Deputies believe the second suspect was in possession of the stolen cash. Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the second suspect who is described as a black male juvenile, approximately 5’9”, thin build last seen wearing an athletic style black hooded top and pants with white stripes down the sides, and white shoes.
