TRAFFIC ADVISORY - UPDATE 3/16/23 at 10:45 a.m.
Although repair work continues along Homestead Road, one westbound lane of traffic is available for travel and both eastbound lanes are open. A full reopening of Homestead Road is expected on Friday, March 17.
Drivers are asked to drive slowly in this area and follow instructions of crews performing restorative work.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY - UPDATE 3/15/23 at 9:00 a.m.
Yesterday, we experienced two significant road closures as a result of storm related damage.
- Madison Street at Jonathan Street has been reopened.
- Homestead Road, from Pepper Tree Lane to Lawrence Expressway, remains closed. The shelter in place has been lifted, however limited resident pedestrian access remains available. Silicon Valley Power is expected to remain on scene through Friday, March 17 to restore the downed power lines. We apologize for the inconvenience to our residents during this time however it is necessary to give City crews a safe space to work.
No additional updates are expected until Homestead Road reopens later this week.

UPDATE 3/14/23 at 6:15 p.m.
Residents will be required to park their vehicle outside of the affected closure - Homestead Road between Peppertree Lane and Lawrence Expressway. Police officers on site will work with resident pedestrians to gain access to the area and their respective homes.

Shelter in place remains in effect to support traffic management and allow City crews the space and access to safely clean up debris and restore the downed power lines.
Meanwhile, it is important to add Pomeroy Avenue is closed at Homestead Road. Please plan your travel route accordingly.

TEMPORARY SHELTER IN PLACE IN LIMITED AREA ALONG HOMESTEAD ROAD – 3/14/23 at 2:45 p.m.
Residents and businesses along Homestead Road, between Pepper Tree Lane and Lawrence Expressway, are asked to temporarily shelter in place while crews deactivate and address downed power lines, as well as the overall safety along this stretch of Homestead Road.
