INCIDENT: Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling/Weapons Violations
LOCATION: 68300 Block of Pole Line Road, Unincorporated Area Near Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Daniel Cervants, 26-year-old Male Resident of Twentynine Palms
Eduardo Bravo-Momotic, 24-year-old Male Resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): Female Resident of Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On Saturday, March 18, 2023, at approximately 9:05 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department assigned to the Morongo Basin Station responded to the 1700 block of Valey View Road for a report of shots heard. The victim heard five to six shots fired and believed the shots struck her garage.
While deputies investigated, they heard three additional shots fired. Deputies responded to the source of the shooting at a residence in 68300 block of Pole Line Road. Deputies learned Daniel Cervantes and Eduardo Bravo-Momotic fired several rounds from an unregistered short barreled AR-15 style riffle. Deputies authored a search warrant for the property and located several fired cartridge casings, several rifles, hi-capacity magazines to include a 50-round drum magazine, a handgun, and several different calibers of ammunition.
Cervantes had three in-county misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Cervantes and Bravo-Momotic were placed under arrest for PC 246, 246.3(a), 33215, and 30605(a). Bravo-Momotic was booked into Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $70,000 bail. Cervantes was booked into Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $470,000.01 bail.
