LOCATION: 18600 Block of Larkspur Road, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Eleanor Gutierrez, 59-years-old, Resident of Adelanto
VICTIM: Female Adult, 65 years-old, Resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 6:01pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a 911 call in 18600 block of Larkspur Road in Adelanto.
According to witnesses, Eleanor Gutierrez and her 65 year-old neighbor were in an argument. Gutierrez brandished a knife and threatened to harm the victim, who is confined to a wheelchair. Gutierrez pulled the victim out of her wheelchair and proceeded to kick her in the head and torso and pull her around by her hair. Gutierrez continued to brandish the knife while punching the victim multiple times.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. Eleanor Gutierrez was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center. She is currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
