SUSPECT(S): Carlos Solorzano, 53-year-old Resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: : On February 3, 2023, at 6:51 a.m., an unknown male adult parked in front of the victim’s residence in a red Ford Econo-Van. The van had white writing on the passenger side and a white fender over the front, passenger side tire.
The male suspect approached the victim’s residence while simultaneously loading a shotgun. The male fired three rounds at the victim’s vehicle and residence. The rounds caused damage to the victim’s vehicle, shattering the back window and destroying the trunk. The victim estimated it would cost $6,000 to repair the damages to his vehicle.
On Thursday, March 16, 2023, Carlos Solorzano was identified as the suspect in the shooting. Solorzano was located at a mobile home park in Calimesa. Solorzano was in possession of a citation, which indicated the van used in the shooting was towed and stored by Beaumont P.D., at 10:14 p.m. the night of the shooting. The citation also indicated Solorzano was in possession of a firearm, later confirmed to be the shotgun used in the shooting.
Solorzano was arrested and booked in at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on $70,000.
