The Wilmington Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is asking for the assistance of the public in connection to the 2013 murder of Willie Moore.
 
On September 23, 2013 at approximately 11:07 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1800 block of N. West Street in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Officers located 47-year-old Willie Moore, who had been shot and later succumbed to his injuries.
 
This investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are asking the public for assistance.

The Wilmington Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is part of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division. The Unit typically handles cases that have remained unsolved after a year, and after all investigative leads have been exhausted by the primary investigator.
