Deputies Use Narcan to Revive a Male Subject who Overdosed on Fentanyl

LOCATION: Airway Avenue and Yucca Trail, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): None
VICTIM(S): 32-year-old Male Resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 12, 2023, at about 11:54 P.M, Sheriff's Dispatch received a 911 call of a male subject who was unresponsive in a flood control wash, near the intersection of Airway Avenue and Yucca Trail, in the Town of Yucca Valley.
Deputies responded to the location and found the man was not breathing due to an overdose of Fentanyl. Deputies administered two doses of Narcan which revived the man, and he began to breathe on his own. The male subject was transported to the Hi-Desert Medical Center by San Bernardino County Fire paramedics, for further treatment.
