Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.

On March 15, at approximately 10:50 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of East 4^th Street, after observing a traffic violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers made contact with the driver – 37-year-old Leon White. Following a brief investigation, officers recovered a .380 caliber handgun, and 63.8 grams of marijuana. White was taken into custody without incident.

White was charged with the following offenses including traffic violations:

• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited
• Possession of Marijuana
