On Monday, February 27, 2023, IMPD East District officers responded to the 4400 block of North Shadeland Ave. on a report of an injured person. Officers arrived and located a male with injuries. Further investigation revealed the man had been struck by a vehicle. IEMS arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.
IMPD Hit & Run detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. IMPD Detectives canvassed the area and were able to identify a suspect vehicle. IMPD detectives identified the vehicle as a 2010-2015 Kia Optima, white in color that would have damage on the front driver’s side bumper/headlight/fender area. Detectives also obtained a photo of a potential suspect. The suspect photo is included. The vehicle photo is a stock photo of a Kia Optima.
