National Weather Service has issued a Hydrologic Outlook....
Heavy Rain and Potential Flooding Forecast Late This Week
Rain Chances are expected to increase through the end of the work week as a storm system approaches the Mid-South, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall Thursday through Friday night.
Portions of the Mid-South are forecast to receive 1-2 inches of rain with this system. Areas in Northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and extreme northwest Tennessee are currently in a moderate risk for excessive rainfall, with some areas accumulating 3 inches of rain by Saturday morning.
Widespread small stream flooding is expected. Also, current ensemble river guidance is suggesting minor to isolated moderate river flooding.
