Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) conducted an undercover chat operation over the weekend after learning 32-year-old Daniel Garcia of Pomona engaged in sexual activity with a juvenile.
Garcia expressed a desire to meet with the juvenile a second time. Garcia arrived at the prearranged meeting location and was taken into custody with the assistance of Pomona Police patrol officers and detectives.
Garcia was arrested and booked at the Pomona City Jail. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed the following charges:
287(b)(2)PC- oral copulation with person under the age of 16
286(b)(2)PC- sodomy with person under the age of 16
288(a)PC- lewd act upon child under age 14
