SR 125 Closure at Northbound Birch Rd On-Ramp March 27-April 17 
The SR 125 Toll Road northbound on-ramp from westbound Birch Road in Chula Vista will be temporarily closed as crews install and test new tolling equipment. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. on Monday, March 27, through 7 a.m. on Monday, April 17. NOTE: Construction schedules are subject to change.
Installing new tolling equipment is one of the steps SANDAG is taking to enhance technology along the SR 125 Toll Road. Closing lanes and diverting traffic allows crews to safely complete work throughout the length of the project. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. If work progresses ahead of schedule, the closure will reopen early.
SANDAG began upgrading tolling equipment on SR 125 in late 2021 and anticipates completion by the end of 2023. Thank you for your patience during this construction project.
