UPDATE - Missing person David Navarro has been located by SMPD Investigators 
UPDATED INFORMATION - David Navarro located - March 23, 2023
Case #SMPD23-0002780
On March 23, 2023, at about 11:30 AM, missing person David Navarro was located by SMPD Investigators. The continued and ongoing investigation led investigators back to the area where Navaro initially went missing. While conducting another area canvas Navarro was found in the same general vicinity (Canal & Blosser). Navarro was confirmed to be deceased.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office and the Santa Maria Fire Department were called out to assist. The Coroner’s Office has undertaken this investigation that will include determining the cause and manner of death.
The SMPD has remained in contact with Navarro's family, and they have been notified.
The SMPD would like to thank the public and all involved public safety agencies for their assistance with this investigation.
