* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southern Illinois, including the following counties, Franklin and Hamilton.
* WHEN...Until 515 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 212 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms was moving back into this area. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen already. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... West Frankfort, Benton, Mcleansboro, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Zeigler, Royalton, Valier, West City, Thompsonville, North City, Dahlgren, Buckner, Orient, Hanaford, Ewing, Freeman Spur, Broughton and Macedonia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
