UPDATE: US 550 COAL Bank, Molas and Red Mountain Pass remain closed today. Estimated re-opening later today depending on progress. 
CDOT maintenance crews are performing snow removal ops on all three US 550 passes, Coal Bank/Molas/Red Mountain. CDOT is confident the passes will open some time today. Because of the amount of heavy, wet snow received, particularly on Coal Bank/Molas, operations have been slow going and hard on equipment. CDOT is unable to give an exact time for opening the passes.
