INCREASED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING FOR THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS AND NORTHWEST PIEDMONT OF NORTH CAROLINA... The combination of gusty southwest winds of 25-35 mph, relative humidity values as low as 25 percent, and dry fuels will result in elevated fire danger conditions today over the northern foothills and northwestern Piedmont of North Carolina. Burning is not recommended today.
