Yesterday, on March 24th 2023, a black male with dreads called for a taxi in the city of Lovejoy.  When the suspect entered the vehicle, he pulled out a gun, forced the victim to take off her clothes while in the car, and proceeded to rape her at gunpoint. 

Lovejoy Police Department responded to the scene and began their investigation.  Detectives from the agency were able to identify the suspect as Christian Jacquez Taylor and obtained warrants for rape, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN immediately activated his Elite Fugitive Squad to get this vicious rapist off the streets. Units began to hunt for Mr. Taylor and within 2 hours, they located Taylor at an address in Hampton, GA.  Fugitive Investigators surrounded Taylor’s location and when they knocked on the door, Taylor tried to run out of the back door.  Taylor quickly realized his cardio wasn’t sufficient enough to out run the Elite Fugitive Squad after a brief foot chase.

Taylor had a handgun in his front right pocket when he was taken into custody and  is now in the Clayton County Jail where he is no longer a threat to the public.
