The township of Moorestown is aware of a water contamination issue that is impacting the Delaware River. This is NOT impacting Moorestown's public water supply.
Moorestown occasionally obtains water from New Jersey American Water, which is pulled from the Delaware River. However, all of Moorestown's public water supply is currently being provided by the township's own wells. Our wells are not impacted by the contamination event in the Delaware River reported today (March 26), and the township's water supply continues to be safe for consumption.
