In the afternoon of March 26th, Simi Valley Police Department officers responded to the Walmart in the 200 block of Cochran St for a report of a shoplifting in progress.  A Walmart employee reported that a female subject walked out of the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise without paying and left in a vehicle with three other females.

An officer located the vehicle driving east bound on the 118 freeway, with the vehicle eventually stopping after Kuehner Dr.  Four females were taken into custody and over $1000 worth of suspected stolen merchandise was recovered.

The four females: Michelle Jackson (31 years-old), Brittany Miller (33 years-old), Marshawna Montgomery (30 years-old) all from Los Angeles, and Tameka Land (29 years-old) from Long Beach were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for conspiracy to commit a crime and organized retal theft.  Jackson also had an outstanding Ventura County Warrant for failure to appear on a charge of shoplifting last month.
