Sheriff's Office sees rise in vehicle break-ins this week 
The Sheriff’s Office has responded to nine vehicle break-ins countywide since March 20, 2023. A variety of items have been reported stolen, including five firearms. In each instance, the vehicle was left unlocked.
We would like to remind our community members and visitors to remain vigilant in their efforts to prevent thefts of opportunity.
Hide or remove valuables, do not leave firearms in your vehicles, and always remember to lock your doors.
Additionally, we ask the community to be a part of keeping each other safe by reporting suspicious activity or persons by calling our non-emergency dispatch at 843-524-2777.
