Police Operation Yields Arrests and Seizure of Illegal Narcotics 
In just 72 hours, 11 people have been arrested in an operation focused on criminal activity along our Route 30 motel/hotel corridor. These establishments have become safe havens for those wanted by law enforcement.
The Absecon Police Department organized an operation after noticing a significant increase in violent and narcotic related crimes.
Officers assigned to this operation directed their resources in the area based on previous encounters resulting in:
- Nine narcotic related arrests to include cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. One of the arrests resulted in a seizure of nearly 2 ounces of methamphetamine. The subject was charged with distribution of narcotics.
- A notable arrest involved a subject who had been previously charged and failed to appear in court for aggravated assault against a 2-month-old child.
The results of this operation show the necessity for continued enforcement efforts along this corridor. Names and details have been withheld due to on-going investigations.
