PG&E Release of Natural Gas Tonight 
From PG&E:
PG&E is conducting important gas pipeline safety work in Novato. At approximately 4:30AM (postponed from 3AM) on 3/28, there will be a brief, intermittent, release of natural gas. Those in the area may smell the odorant from natural gas, which will quickly dissipate and is not harmful.
