REMINDER: Attend the Church Square Park open house; take online survey
The City of Hoboken will host a public listening session today, March 29, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Church Square Park to gather feedback from the community about potential upgrades to the historic park's amenities. This will be an "open house" style event where park goers can stop by at any time to provide feedback.
Church Square Park, bounded by Garden Street, Fourth Street, Park Avenue, and Fifth Street, was built in 1875. The park serves a broad variety of community members who utilize the passive and active spaces of the park, including seating, lawn space, basketball courts, dog runs, playgrounds, and natural elements of the park.
The City of Hoboken seeks to create a vision plan for the park to outline potential future upgrades.
Residents can also provide input through an online survey available at https://arcg.is/O9CeW0.

Eliminate spotted lanternflies
Spotted lanternflies are an invasive species harmful to local plant life. To help curtail the spread of the species, residents are encouraged to eliminate spotted lanternfly egg messes, which look like gray splotches of mud or cement by crushing them and scraping them off tree bark when spotted.
