Red Flag Warning until 08:00PM Friday
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING...This includes the Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and East Central Plains (Zone 126) late Thursday morning through Thursday evening and again Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 35 to 45 with gusts near 65 mph on Thursday. West to northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts near 60 mph on Friday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values dropping to between 6 to 10 percent Thursday afternoon and between 10 and 15 percent Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be done.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHEAST PLAINS ... EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
