Crime Blotter for the Week of March 19 – 25, 2023

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of March 19, 2023 – March 25, 2023.        
 
March 19, 2023

  • No significant activity.
 
March 20, 2023
  • Grand Theft:
1300 Block of Chandler Lane. Between February 27, 2023 12 AM and March 20, 2023 12 AM suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim's parked vehicle, a silver 2001 Toyota Sequoia. The loss was approximately $1,500. No surveillance video is available.
 
March 21, 2023
  • Petty Theft (Shoplifting):
1450 Mountain Avenue (Harbor Freight). On March 21, 2023 at 12:10 PM, suspect(s) unknown, a male black adult wearing a black mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and black pants, and a male white adult wearing a grey hooded checkered green flannel and khaki pants entered the location and went directly to the battery section. The suspects selected five “Viking” 450 amp jump starters and one battery tester and exited the location without attempting to pay for the items. The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction. The loss was approximately $530. Surveillance video is available.
 
March 22, 2023
  • Burglary (Residential):
2660 Sunnydale Drive.  On March 22, 2023 between 2:30 PM and 6 PM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the rear sliding glass door and entered the location. The suspect(s) ransacked the location and stole jewelry and a shotgun. The loss was approximately $1,700. No surveillance video is available.  
 
  • Burglary (Residential):
100 Block of Las Lomas Road. On March 22, 2023 between 2:45 PM and 8:15 PM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the rear sliding glass door and entered the location. The suspect(s) ransacked the location and stole jewelry, U.S. currency, and an Apple MacBook. The loss was approximately $1,700. No surveillance video is available. 
 
  • Burglary (Commercial):
1302 Duarte Road (Duarte Liquor). On March 22, 2023 at 4:57 AM, suspect unknown, a male Hispanic wearing a jacket forced entry into the location through the roof and entered the location. The suspect is observed walking to the electrical panel and turning off the power. Unknown loss at the time of the report. Partial surveillance video is available.

  • Grand Theft:
1500 Duarte Road (City of Hope). Between March 21, 2023 at 5 PM and March 23, 2023 11:30 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim's parked vehicle, a white 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The loss was approximately $2,500. No surveillance video is available.
 
March 24, 2023
  • Grand Theft:
1322 Huntington Drive (Grocery Outlet). On March 24, 2023 at 5:11 PM, suspect(s) unknown two male Hispanic adults entered the location and filled a shopping cart full of miscellaneous merchandise. The suspects exited the location without attempting to pay for the items and fled the location in a white Land Rover sport license plate 5XFP029, in an unknown direction. The loss was approximately $400. Surveillance video is available.

  • Avoid being scammed - Always think before you click on a link or file of unknown origin. Don’t feel pressured by any emails. Check the source of the message. Never reply to emails that ask you to verify your information or confirm your user ID or password.
