Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug charges.

On March 28, at approximately 9:16 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were on patrol in the 2800 block of Rosemont Avenue, when they observed 36-year-old Abdullah McKnight. Officers were aware that McKnight had an outstanding capias and took him into custody following a brief foot pursuit. McKnight was found to be in possession of 1.75 grams of heroin.

McKnight has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his active capias:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
• Resisting Arrest
• Breach of Release

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was given $11,000 secured bail on the above listed charged and was subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
