Hydrant Flushing 4/3 to 4/7
We are planning to restart our Spring hydrant flushing on Monday, April 3rd. Our DPW will do a Village wide flush of the larger transmission mains on Monday and continue to flush individual hydrant areas and neighborhoods from April 4th – April 7th from about 8:00 AM and continuing to 3:00 PM. Subject to daily events and conditions, the areas to be flushed from April 4th – April 7th are:
Wilderness Way, Avondale Court, Berkley Court, Justine Court, Lewiston Court, Hirst Road, Sunnyside Court, Huntington Court, Charlotte Court, Greenwood Court, Elizabeth Court, Tanglewood Circle, Cedar Drive West, Cedar Drive East, Juniper Place, Walnut Place, Frame Road, Hyatt Road, Tamarack Place, Austin Place, Birch Road, Alder Drive, Butternut Road, Elm Road, Plumwood Road, Tuttle Road, Hawthorn Place, Balsam Road, Pine Road
As a result of this work, residents can expect discolored water at any time (but particularly) during the day starting from 8:00 AM and continuing to 3 PM. You may wish to alter such activities such as your laundry routine: avoiding these time periods in particular. However, even if discolored, continuing laboratory testing has indicated that in the past the water has contained no harmful bacteria.
Flushing will continue, section by section for several weeks until the entire Village distribution system is flushed.
Updated location notices will be sent out weekly.
