TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced for Drive-Up and Go Food Distribution, Wednesday, April 5, 2023
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, April 5, 2023
Washington Street between Court Street and Longworth Street
West Kinney Street between Halsey Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The food drive begins at 11 a.m. and will be held at Washington Street and West Kinney Street.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
Director Fragé thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding any criminal activities to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
