HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8AM SATURDAY TO 4AM SUNDAY... * WHAT...West winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 to 65 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina, central, south central, southwest and west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia. * WHEN...From 8 AM Saturday to 4 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Scattered powers outages are likey. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Instructions:
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
