Bomb Threat at Grand Terrace High School Prompts Investigation; Threat Determined to be False

SUMMARY: On March 31, 2023, Grand Terrace High School received a bomb threat via email from unknown suspect(s). The email stated numerous bombs were placed around the school property and would be detonated if law enforcement was advised.
Although Grand Terrace High School was out of session and on Spring Break this week, some students and staff were still on campus. They were evacuated and precautionary measures were taken. Members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Bomb/Arson Detail conducted a sweep of the location and determined it was safe and normal activities could resume. This false bomb threat is consistent with other threats made at schools in other jurisdictions.
