* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook, DuPage and Kane.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 608 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch may occur over the next 30 to 60 minutes. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst, Lombard, Buffalo Grove and Bartlett. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
