Rain from earlier is in the process of exiting, and we'll see increasing sunshine, temps and winds this afternoon. As we head late in the day, a few spotty showers / storms can develop. This will begin the severe threat, followed by a greater concern around sunset from an organized line of storms (moving W to E).
 
This will bring an enhanced wind threat, leading to downed trees and power outages in parts of Central Jersey. Storms will also be capable of hail, generally small with a few instances of larger (1"+) not ruled out. Additionally, there could be a quick-moving / brief tornado. Regardless of the severe threat, winds will significantly increase along and just after this front passes through, and could lead to a few more issues into the early overnight before slowly lessening later on.
