Tornado Warning until 08:00PM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Central Ocean County in southern New Jersey... East central Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 733 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located over Old Halfway, or 18 miles southwest of Toms River, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... Toms River, Barnegat, Beachwood, Seaside Heights, Bamber Lake, Brookville, Chatsworth, Old Halfway, Dover Beaches South, Holiday City South, South Toms River, Island Heights, Gilford Park, Holiday Heights, Waretown and Ocean Acres. This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 67 and 81.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BURLINGTON, NJ ... OCEAN, NJ

Instructions:

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
