Full Notification

On 4/1/23 at approximately 12:30am, Harper Woods officers responded to the 20400 block of Fleetwood Drive on a call of a disturbance in the street. As officers were en route to the scene they were informed that gunshots had been fired and that an individual may have been struck. Officers arrived on scene to find preliminary evidence that an assault had taken place, but no victim(s) were located. Officers later learned that a male gunshot victim in his 30's was taken to an area hospital from the Fleetwood incident and pronounced deceased. 

Harper Woods detectives are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation. We do not yet have a suspect in custody, but we believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the greater public at this time.
