INCIDENT: Missing Juvenile
LOCATION: 71000 Block of Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms, CA
MISSING PERSON: 16-year-old juvenile, resident of Desert Hot Springs
SUMMARY: On Sunday, April 2, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 71000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway, reference a missing juvenile. Through investigation, it was found the 16-year-old missing juvenile, who is diagnosed with an intellectual disability, was a resident of Desert Hot Springs, and was visiting family for spring break.
The Sheriff’s Aviation unit, K9 tracking unit, and multiple patrol units were utilized to search for the missing juvenile. At approximately 9:53 p.m., the missing juvenile was located near the intersection of Indian Cove and Twentynine Palms Highway. The juvenile was uninjured and reunited with his parents.
