INCIDENT: PC 664/187-Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 83000 Block Twentynine Palms Highway, Wonder Valley
SUSPECT(S): Leonor Hernandez, 52-year-old female resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 56-year-old male resident of Wonder Valley
Confidential, 61-year-old male resident of Wonder Valley
SUMMARY: On Friday, March 31, 2023, at 3:19 p.m., deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station responded to a wireless 911 call, near the 83000 Block of Twentynine Palms Highway. During the 911 call, the reporting party indicated Hernandez had a knife and was attempting to stab multiple victims on the property. The occupants were able to lock Hernandez outside of the home. Deputies arrived and contacted Hernandez, who was holding the knife in the front yard of the residence. Hernandez complied with deputies and was detained without further incident. None of the victims suffered injuries during the attack.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Leonor Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
