On April 5th, 2023, at 0930 hours, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office will host the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Health and Programming Unit located at the Todd Road Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the opening of the Health and Programming Unit at the Todd Road Jail. The facility, which has taken over eight years to plan, design and build, is designed to provide medical care for our inmates as well as address the needs of our seriously mentally ill inmate population. The new 64-bed housing area will provide a full medical clinic as well as housing for programs such as Jail Based Competency and Treatment, the Therapeutic Inmate Management Unit and our Early Access and Stabilization Services.
The press and public are invited to attend and learn what the Sheriff’s Office and County of Ventura are doing to address mental illness within our inmate population.
