Green Bay Police to Host Landlord Training for Rental Property Owners
The Green Bay Police Department is inviting rental property owners and their agents to a FREE landlord training session to learn about available Brown County resources, which can help assist when questions arise, whether informational or legal.
Attendees will be educated on the city’s chronic nuisance ordinance, billing for a nuisance property, landlord/tenant laws, notifications, inspections, mediation, eviction, and signs of illegal activity. The training is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Neville Public Museum, 210 Museum Place.
Registration is open through Friday, April 21, 2023. It can be done online by visiting the GBPD website at https://www.gbpolice.org/1085/Landlord-Tenant-Resources or by calling the Crime Prevention Division – (920) 448-3260 or email [email protected].
Presenters will include:
- Green Bay Police Department
- Brown County Sheriff’s Office
- Brown County Drug Task Force
- City of Green Bay Community & Economic Development – Inspections Division
- The Mediation Center of Greater Green Bay
- Andre Law Offices
“This is an opportunity to educate and create safer neighborhoods for all,” said Lt. Steve Mahoney, Green Bay Police Department. “It is much more efficient to work with property owners upfront and prevent illegal activity or other problems than to be citing them for disruption in the community.”
Then in early May, Legal Action will partner with the Green Bay Police Department to host a tenant training session. Details regarding this event will be shared at the start of registration.
