Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug charges.

On March 31, at approximately 12:12 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were on patrol in the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk, when they observed a wanted subject. Officers made contact with 24-year-old Davien Johnson, who initially provided officers with a false name. Johnson was taken into custody without incident, and following a brief investigation was found to be in possession of 7 grams of crack cocaine.

Johnson was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
• Providing a False Statement to Law Enforcement

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was given $500 secured bail on the above listed charges and was subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
