* Until 400 AM CDT.

* At 307 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Scammon, or 9 miles north of Columbus, moving northeast at 65 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Pittsburg, Prairie State Park, Lamar, Frontenac, Columbus, Girard, Arma, Jasper, Golden City, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir, Mulberry, Scammon, Chicopee, Nashville, Mindenmines, Franklin, Arcadia and Asbury. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 55 and 76.
