Attention Residents: 

Due to the anticipated severe weather and current Tornado Watch, The City of Belleville would like to remind residents, particularly in the mobile home parks (Belle Villa Meadows and Lakeview) that we will be opening Owen Intermediate School (located at 45201 Owen Rd. Belleville, MI, cross street Sumpter Rd., east of roadway )  in the event a Tornado Warning is issued.

This school building should offer improved shelter from the storm in the event a tornado should occur. City emergency department personnel will unlock the school if the need arises and will be on hand to direct you. We will send out another nixle alert when the shelter is opened for those wishing to use it.

Although we hope this is not needed, we are reminding residents of the available shelter if need be. Take care.
