SHOTS FIRED INVESTIGATION – 400 Block of N Walnut St
The Janesville Police Department follows a Nine Point Gun Crime Plan. We take each and every gun crime or allegation of gun crime seriously, address them promptly, and investigate them thoroughly.
On April 1, 2023 at 11:29 pm officers were sent to the 400 block of N Walnut St for a shots fired complaint. There were multiple witnesses that heard the shots. A house in the neighborhood was struck several times. No one was injured. Officers recovered twelve spent casings in the area.
Investigators have spoken to witnesses and gathered video. The suspects were seen driving a white newer model SUV. There are identified persons of interest in this investigation. The names are not being released at this time because this is an active and open investigation.
