IMPD’s detectives are seeking the public’s help with information on illegal events occurring at short-term rental properties.
IMPD’s Nuisance and Abatement detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the organizers or promoters of illegal events at short-term rental properties.
These organizers and promoters frequently use terms such as BYOB, BYOW, marijuana, liquor, and drinks are provided, to promote these events.
Recently, IMPD detectives say underage drinking, drug dealing and gun violence has occurred at these short-term rental properties. The IMPD encourages all short-term rental property owners to be aware of who is staying at your home. Owners can also install noise monitoring devices which can detect excessive noise and other warning signs of a party while protecting guest privacy.
Anyone with information regarding these flyers about upcoming events at short-term rentals should contact Nuisance and Abatement by email at [email protected] .
**Media inquiries must be made to the IMPD Public Affairs Office**
Alternatively, they can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS) to remain anonymous.
