Monday: New Sidewalk & Minor Road Repair Work Begins on
Orchard Rd. / Bridgepoint Rd. near Rt. 206
 
On or about Monday, April 10, construction preparation will begin on Orchard Road from Community Drive to Route 206, on a small portion of Bridgepoint Road on the east side of Route 206, and from the 206 traffic signal to the bus stop, to facilitate the construction of new sidewalk (see map).
The Township will also be making minor road and drainage repairs on Orchard Road from Route 206 to just west of Community Drive, in preparation of milling and repaving. Orchard Road, the Municipal Center, Library, and Police Station will remain accessible.  Notice will be given prior to road repaving, when access will be limited.
Pedestrian access across the Route 206 and Orchard Road intersection is being coordinated with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). The pedestrian provisions to allow crossing the intersection will be constructed after NJDOT upgrades the traffic signal – timing to be announced at a later date. Pedestrians should not cross any portion of the Route 206 / Orchard Road intersection until all work is completed by both the Township and NJDOT.
