Independence Day Fireworks Advisory: Tuesday, July 4
Please be advised, that beginning at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, a fireworks display will take place for approximately twenty minutes near the island's beachside.
Spectators are encouraged to safely view the fireworks at one of the following public parking areas:
- Oceanview Beach Park
- Great Dunes Beach Park
- Jekyll Island Convention Center parking lot
All owners of domestic pets in the area are reminded that animals might become distressed by fireworks.
As a reminder, the daily entry fee for Tuesday, July 4 will be increased (+$4) for this special event. Annual passes will be exempt.
As a state park, personal fireworks are strictly prohibited on Jekyll Island. This includes all types of consumer fireworks discharged in any public spaces or private homes. All ignitable fireworks are illegal, including sparklers. Commercial firework permits are available to licensed fireworks companies and must be obtained from the Jekyll Island Authority in advance.
