Crime Blotter for the Week of March 26 - April 1, 2023

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of March 26, 2023 – April 1, 2023.
 
March 26, 2023

  • Burglary (Commercial):
1402 Huntington Drive (Janet’s). On March 26, 2023 at 4:04 AM, suspect(s) unknown, wearing face masks, dark hoodies, and dark pants, forced entry into the location through the front entrance and entered the location. The suspects were observed walking to the register and to the safe. The suspects used a skill saw to cut open the safe and took money bags from inside. The suspects fled the location in a possible gray Volvo sedan. The loss was approximately $13,000. Surveillance video is available. 
 
  • Petty Theft:
1088 Huntington Drive (T Mobile). On March 26, 2023 at 4:18 PM, suspect unknown, a male Hispanic adult wearing a blue shirt, and black pants, entered the location and took a pair of AirPod pros and some AirTags. The suspect exited the location without attempting to pay for the items and fled the location in a black Nissan Altima in an unknown direction. The loss was approximately $280. Surveillance video is available.
    
March 27, 2023
  • Grand Theft:
1600 Block of 3rd Street. Between March 26, 2023 5 PM and March 27, 2023 8 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim's parked vehicle, a gray 2014 Toyota Prius. The loss was approximately $1,300. No surveillance video is available.

March 29, 2023
  • Attempt Grand Theft:
800 Block of Vineyard Drive. On March 29, 2023 at 4:39 AM, suspect(s) unknown, two male Hispanic adults wearing dark clothing, were observed by the victim attempting to remove the catalytic converter to his parked vehicle, a white Ford F250. The victim yelled at the suspects, at which point the victim believes the suspects shot an unknown firearm once into the air. The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction. No surveillance video is available.

March 31, 2023
  • Petty Theft:
1200 block of Huntington Drive. Between March 27, 2023 4 PM and March 31, 2023 10:51 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s nonactive “Ring” camera that was mounted next to her door. The loss was approximately $150. No surveillance video is available.
 
  • Grand Theft:
1400 Block of Huntington Drive (Huntington apartments). Between March 30, 2023 10 PM and March 31, 2023 6 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s electric bike that was secured inside the parking structure. The loss was approximately $1,600. Possible surveillance video is available.

  • Avoid being scammed - Always think before you click on a link or file of unknown origin. Don’t feel pressured by any emails. Check the source of the message. Never reply to emails that ask you to verify your information or confirm your user ID or password.
