The Borough is pleased to share that two town groups are offering scholarships to Ho-Ho-Kus high school seniors. Here is a brief overview of these wonderful opportunities.
The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus is accepting applications for its $1,000 merit-based scholarship to a high school senior and Ho-Ho-Kus resident (of at least one year). Outstanding academic achievement, noteworthy extracurricular involvement, and meaningful community service are valued in the tradition of the award.
Interested candidates may visit the Contemporary Club website (https://www.contemporaryclubhhk.com/scholarship) for details, application, and mailing address. The completed application must be received on or before Friday, April 28, 2023.
The Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is offering two $1,000 scholarships to graduating Northern Highlands seniors who live in Ho-Ho-Kus and are planning to continue their education. One is to be awarded to a member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department or immediate family member, and one will be awarded to a Ho-Ho-Kus resident with no Fire Department affiliation. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants based on several factors, including demonstration of outstanding community service. Please read the attached letter from the Scholarship Committee for additional details.
