The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... South Central St. Landry Parish in central Louisiana... Lafayette Parish in south central Louisiana... Acadia Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Southeastern Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Northeastern Cameron Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Southeastern Jefferson Davis Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Northern Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana...

* Until 545 AM CDT.

* At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lafayette, Opelousas, Crowley, Abbeville, Jennings, Scott, Rayne, Carencro, Kaplan, Church Point, Welsh, Lake Arthur, Iota, Gueydan, Mermentau, Klondike, Hayes, Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Charles Regional Airport and Grand Lake.

Instructions:
